Job Overview

At Yoder Pallet Company, we believe there are many companies that can manufacture pallets—but what sets us apart is how we serve our customers. We are looking for a driven, relationship-focused sales professional who is passionate about helping customers succeed through dependable service, quality products, and innovative solutions.

As a Pallet Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business, growing existing customer relationships, and representing the Yoder Pallet brand with professionalism and integrity. You will work closely with our operations, logistics, and sawmill teams to ensure customers receive exceptional service every day.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for motivated sales professionals eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, enterprise sales environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

Identify and develop new pallet customers throughout the assigned territory.
Prospect through phone calls, networking, referrals, plant visits, and industry contacts.
Build long-term relationships with purchasing managers, plant managers, and operations leaders.
Develop strategic account plans to grow profitable business.

Account Management

Maintain regular communication with existing customers.
Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
Conduct routine customer visits to understand production needs and future opportunities.
Review pricing, contracts, and service levels to maximize customer satisfaction.

Sales & Market Analysis

Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing while protecting company margins.
Monitor lumber markets, freight costs, and industry trends.
Collaborate with purchasing and operations to provide competitive solutions.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with production, scheduling, logistics, and purchasing.
Ensure customer expectations align with manufacturing capabilities.
Communicate market feedback that helps improve operations and customer experience.

Technology

Utilize CRM software to document customer interactions and opportunities.
Use Pallet Connect and PDS Design software to create customer solutions.
Maintain accurate KPI reporting and sales activity tracking.

Qualifications

3+ years of B2B sales experience (manufacturing or industrial products preferred)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Self-motivated with a competitive mindset
Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software
Experience in pallets, lumber, packaging, logistics, or manufacturing is preferred
