Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property management operations, and excellent customer service abilities. This role requires familiarity with industry regulations, leasing processes, and facilities management to ensure the smooth operation of our properties while maintaining high tenant satisfaction.

Duties

Manage day-to-day operations of multiple properties, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC requirements, and other relevant legal standards
Oversee property leasing activities, including marketing, tenant screening, and lease negotiations using platforms like Yardi and OneSite
Maintain accurate property records through data entry, filing, and administrative documentation
Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management using CMMS systems to ensure timely repairs and upkeep
Handle conflict management with tenants or vendors professionally and efficiently
Conduct regular inspections to ensure property standards are met and enforce lease agreements
Develop and implement strategies for upselling amenities or services to enhance tenant retention
Prepare contracts, legal documents, and reports related to property management activities
Foster positive customer relationships through excellent phone etiquette and personalized service
Collaborate with legal teams on administrative issues related to landlord-tenant law and lease agreements

Qualifications

Proven experience in property management or real estate administration with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms (experience with LIHTC preferred)
Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs and related compliance standards
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict resolution effectively
Experience in lease negotiations, contracts management, and upselling amenities or services
Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in data entry, filing, and office administration tasks
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Effective communication skills including professional phone etiquette and negotiation abilities
Background in facilities management or maintenance coordination is a plus
Legal administrative experience or experience handling legal documentation is desirable
