On Site X-Ray Technologist Job Description

Our growing outpatient diagnostic imaging facility is looking for an X-Ray technologist to become part of our dynamic team! With an outpatient environment you can enjoy weekday hours with no ON-CALL. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. If you don’t fill all the qualifications, you may still be considered depending on your level of experience.

Responsibilities for X-Ray Technologist

Operate X-ray and Dexa equipment for imaging various areas of the body to provide high quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
Address patient concerns during the procedures and explain the process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible.
Communicate effectively with radiologists and health care professionals to ensure optimal patient care and diagnosis.
Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
Ensure patient safety with proper shielding techniques.
Provide training to new technologists with regular checks, direction and qualified work samples performed by an experienced team member.
Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when dealing with patients, technologists, and physicians.

Job Qualifications

Required:

Current state licensing
ARRT certified Radiologic Technology
Current CPR certification

Preferred:

Experience working in high stress environments.
Self-motivated and self-directed
