Full Job Description

Overview:

Our Recruiting department is expanding!

Team BIR is seeking a motivated and results-driven Recruiter to support hiring across its family of companies, which operate in the retail, restaurant, construction, and transportation sectors. The ideal candidate will be experienced in sourcing, screening, and engaging qualified candidates for a wide range of hourly, skilled, and professional positions while managing recruitment needs across multiple business entities. This individual is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Strong communication skills, creativity in recruitment strategies, and the ability to leverage social media, job boards, employee referrals, and community outreach to attract top talent are essential. A passion for building relationships, partnering with hiring managers, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience is key to success in this role.

Pay: $18.00 - 22.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

Review, screen, and interview candidates to evaluate qualifications and cultural fit
Actively participate in recruitment, onboarding, and new hire orientation processes
Assist with managing and maintaining candidate qualification files, ensuring compliance with drug and alcohol testing requirements
Support hiring managers across multiple companies by providing candidate recommendations and interview feedback
Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruiting records and documentation
Report directly to the Recruiting Manager and serve as a fill-in to support additional recruiting duties in the manager's absence

Recruitment Strategies:

Utilize social media platforms, cold calling, and other outreach methods to attract top talent across multiple sectors
Conduct phone and in-person interviews and assess candidate qualifications
Collaborate with the recruiting team to ensure hiring efforts align with company goals and staffing needs
Adapt recruiting strategies to meet the unique needs of each department while maintaining consistency with company standards
Conduct orientations for new company drivers

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience
1-2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
Recruiting experience in transportation, construction, retail, and restaurant industries a plus
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning
Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
Familiarity with recruitment tools and platforms such as Tenstreet, Indeed, and LinkedIn

Job Type: Full-time
