Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Plastic Surgery Nurse, where your expertise will elevate patient care and support innovative cosmetic procedures. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing services tailored to cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and exceptional results. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive environment for both patients and colleagues. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a rewarding setting dedicated to enhancing confidence and well-being through advanced aesthetic treatments. We are requesting that you have surgical/plastic surgery experience.

Duties

Assist plastic surgeon during consultations, examinations, and in office surgical procedures.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they understand the procedure and any pre-operative instructions.
Monitor patients post-operatively and provide appropriate suture and/or drain removal, wound care, and dressing changes when necessary.
Educate patients on post-operative care, medications, and potential complications.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within our Electronic Medical Records system.
Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure efficient patient flow.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Skills

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
Proven experience as a nurse in a plastic surgery or dermatology setting is preferred.
Solid understanding of plastic surgery procedures, techniques, and equipment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
