Nursing Assistant Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including acute care & hospice care. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting nursing staff with daily tasks.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Help maintain patient hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
Assist nursing staff with medical documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Support the movement of patients within the facility, including transferring them to different areas as needed.

Requirements

Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in healthcare settings.
Knowledge of medical documentation practices and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage.
Experience in acute care or hospice care is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as urgent care or critical care units.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards patients of all ages.
