DSG is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our La Crosse, WI location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As an Administrative Assistant, you will support the branch by performing a wide variety of administrative duties. You must hold independent judgement, as well as be an adaptable and dependable individual. Attention to detail holds high importance.

A Typical Day in the Life of an Administrative Assistant:

Answer and direct calls in a courteous and professional manner
Greet customers/visitors, direct them to the appropriate person/area and/or respond to their inquiries
Balance cash drawer and prepare bank deposit daily
Operate office equipment
Keep office supplies stocked
Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases as requested by the Office Manager
Assist in coordinating for branch events (i.e. hotel booking, food/catering orders, etc.)
Assist Office Manager on other administrative duties and special projects
Assist in freight claim process
Work with Manufacturing Rep. Agencies
General Data entry
All other duties as assigned

A Successful Administrative Assistant Typically Has:

Minimum of 1-3 years of general office work experience.
Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
A high regard for confidentiality and discretion.
Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
An ability to develop and support a culture of teamwork.
The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work efficiently and to work effectively under pressure and time deadlines.
