Civil CAD Designer (Civil 3D)
Job Description
A growing civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to support the design of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role works closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to develop construction drawings and design documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
This is a hands-on production drafting role focused on generating high-quality plan sets and design documents while working alongside experienced engineers and designers in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do

Produce 2D and 3D civil construction drawings

Draft plan sheets, profiles, and details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Prepare report figures and design exhibits

Assist with quantity take-offs

Support Project Engineers and Project Managers throughout the design process

Assist with project coordination and design activities

Participate in occasional field visits for site verification and measurements

Qualifications
Required
-
2+ years of experience using Civil 3D in a professional setting

Proficiency with AutoCAD

Experience preparing, drafting, and designing civil construction plans
Preferred

Experience supporting civil engineering design projects

Municipal, utility, transportation, land development, or water/wastewater project experience preferred

Associate's Degree in Drafting & Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field

Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based with occasional field visits for site verification, measurements, and project-related activities.
Schedule options include:
Option 1

Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Option 2

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Average work week is approximately 44–45 hours.

Compensation
Pay Range: $32.50 -
$45.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, Civil 3D proficiency, and relevant industry experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.
