Full Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records and supporting the monthly financial close process. This position will manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, cash receipt postings, and financial reporting while assisting with cash flow forecasting and other accounting and finance initiatives. The Senior Accountant reports directly to the CFO and works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

Duties/Responsibilities:

General Ledger & Month-End Close

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other month-end adjustments.
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Review account activity to ensure accurate recording and classification of transactions.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Reconciliations

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items are resolved timely.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Analyze variances and identify unusual account activity.

Cash Management

Post cash receipts and other deposits accurately and timely.
Monitor daily cash activity and assist with treasury-related functions.
Support cash management processes and banking relationships.

Financial Reporting

Prepare recurring financial reports and supporting schedules.
Maintain and update cash flow forecasts.
Assist in preparing monthly management reporting packages.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts as needed.

Audit & Compliance

Assist with annual audits and other financial reviews.
Maintain documentation supporting account balances and transactions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
Assist with system implementations, process automation, and special projects.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
3-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close.
Experience preparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Financial reporting and cash flow forecasting experience preferred.
ERP system experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
