Full Job Description

Strategic Sourcing Specialists– Lafayette

Do you take pride in delivering cost-effective solutions, exceptional service, and high-quality products? Would you enjoy working collaboratively on a team that supports procurement for a growing manufacturing facility? Do you have experience with strategic sourcing or supply chain management?

The Kirby Risk Service Center, a division of Kirby Risk Corporation specializing in the manufacturing of electrical wiring and control panels.

What You’ll Do as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist
In this role, you would be responsible for the development and implementation of commodity strategies including analyzing market trends, identifying, qualifying, and recommending sources of supply.

You’ll:

Establish and maintain positive relationship with suppliers
Monitor and track supplier performance
Negotiate with suppliers to secure appropriate costs, schedule, quality, payment and delivery terms.
Interpret MRP/ERP reports to determine daily purchasing priorities
Process, review, validate, and distribute completed purchase orders
Demonstrate professionalism when representing the company in all communications

What Makes You a Great Fit

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred, work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management or procurement
Knowledge of manufacturing, quality and production control, and planning processes
Sourcing and negotiating experience
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

What to Expect in This Role

Onsite, indoors, in a controlled temperature environment, with a variation of noise levels.
This position will be working in an office environment, utilizing typical office equipment
Travel occasionally for training, customer visits, or vendor meetings
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
