Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our forward-thinking engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components across diverse projects. Your expertise will drive the development of cutting-edge solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and fostering continuous improvement. Duties

Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, including schematics and system layouts.
Perform mechanical analysis using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to validate designs under various load conditions.
Create and review manufacturing drawings in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and ASME codes & standards.
Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical failures or inefficiencies in existing systems.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system design, integrating programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino, MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW for automation and control applications.
Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on CNC machining, drafting, and mechanical assembly.
Utilize system simulation tools to optimize mechanical performance and ensure robust product development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
Proven experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo for mechanical design and drafting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and thermodynamics.
Hands-on experience with FEA software and conducting structural or thermal analyses.
Familiarity with GD&T standards, ASME codes & standards, and schematic creation.
Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Arduino, MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and other system design tools.
Ability to perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures using systematic troubleshooting methods.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly techniques.
