About ADMI

Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing, Inc. (ADMI) provides precision machined components and assemblies for mission-critical aerospace, defense, and commercial programs. Operating to AS9100 quality standards, we are committed to craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and the people who make it possible. We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Project Manager to own new programs end to end - from turnover through delivery - at our Temecula, CA facility.

Position Summary

The Aerospace Project Manager takes ownership of new projects the moment they are turned over and drives them all the way to completion. You will plan the job, partner with Engineering to determine material sizes and build strategy, purchase raw materials, work with Production to identify and clear bottlenecks, and manage the customer relationship throughout the life of each project. This is a true turnkey role for someone who understands machining and tooling from the shop floor up and can translate that knowledge into schedules, budgets, and on-time deliveries. You will be the single point of accountability for your projects and the primary contact for your customers.

Compensation & Classification

- Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried)

- Pay Range: $75,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and demonstrated skill

- Reports To: Operations / Program Management leadership

What You Will Do

- Take ownership of new projects at turnover and manage them through planning, production, and final delivery.

- Develop the project plan, schedule, and budget, and maintain them throughout the life of the job.

- Partner with Engineering to determine material sizes, stock selection, and the most efficient build and tooling approach.

- Purchase raw materials and required tooling, coordinating with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and lead-time targets.

- Work directly with Production to anticipate, identify, and resolve bottlenecks that affect your projects.

- Manage the customer side of each project - communication, status updates, changes, schedule commitments, and issue resolution - through completion.

- Track project status, cost, and margin, and report progress to leadership and customers.

- Coordinate across Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Quality to keep projects on schedule and within specification.

- Ensure project documentation and records are maintained in accordance with AS9100 requirements.

- Support continuous improvement of planning, purchasing, and project-management processes.

What We Are Looking For

- Hands-on understanding of machining and tooling, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

- Demonstrated project or program management experience in a manufacturing environment - ideally aerospace, defense, or precision machining.

- Ability to plan jobs, build realistic schedules, and manage projects to budget and delivery commitments.

- Experience purchasing raw materials and/or tooling and working with suppliers on cost and lead time.

- Strong communication skills and the confidence to manage customers directly through the life of a project.

- Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality.

- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and standard business software.

- Organized, accountable, and comfortable owning outcomes from turnover to completion.

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical, engineering, or business degree is a plus.

- Prior experience in machining, tooling, manufacturing engineering, planning, or project/program management. An equivalent combination of training and hands-on shop experience will be considered.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

- Split between an office setting and an active manufacturing / machine shop floor.

- Personal protective equipment is required on the shop floor, and all employees are expected to follow ADMI safety procedures at all times.

- Occasional standing, walking, and lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.

- Clarity of vision and the ability to review drawings, documents, and computer screens for extended periods.

ITAR / Work Authorization
