Full Job Description

The Inside Sales Manager leads Riverhawk’s Account Manager team, the group responsible for quoting, converting quotes to orders, procuring special items, and supporting the customers who depend on us for industrial supplies. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on the daily success of the team, the consistency and quality of how we serve customers, and the development of each team member.

You will own the operating rhythm of the department: publishing KPIs, maintaining SOPs, coaching to performance, and ensuring our customers receive fast, accurate, and professional service. Beyond day-to-day execution, you will partner with other department owners and with the VP and company owner to advance projects, drive sales enablement, and support the company’s growth initiatives. Success in this role requires strong leadership, a customer-first mindset, operational discipline, and the ability to turn priorities into results through your team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Provide daily support, direction, and decision-making for the Account Manager team, removing roadblocks and helping the team prioritize competing demands
Coach, train, and develop team members, providing regular performance feedback and supporting career growth
Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and staffing decisions to keep the team appropriately resourced and well-prepared
Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones to align priorities, share updates, and reinforce expectations
Foster a positive team culture by modeling and reinforcing the company’s core values, and by promoting collaboration, respect, and accountability

Performance & Execution

Review, track, and publish team KPIs, including reply/response time, quote conversions, order accuracy, pricing execution, and customer satisfaction
Drive pricing strategy execution and pricing discipline across quotes and orders
Ensure quality execution and accuracy in quotes, orders, and customer communications
Monitor reply-time performance and ensure customer inquiries are answered promptly and professionally
Oversee customer support execution, serving as the escalation point for complex or sensitive customer issues and ensuring timely resolution

Process & Continuous Improvement

Write, maintain, and update departmental SOPs, and perform audits to ensure compliance, coaching to close any gaps
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and the overall customer experience
Help shift the team from purely reactive quoting toward proactive outreach and opportunity management where appropriate

Cross-Functional & Growth Support

Partner with other department owners (Fulfillment, Customer Support, Purchasing, Accounting, and Sales) to move projects and initiatives forward
Work closely with and communicate regularly with the VP and company owner on team performance, priorities, and opportunities
Support company growth initiatives by aligning the team’s execution with broader sales and business strategy
Drive sales enablement, embedding the right systems, processes, and tools into the team’s daily workflow to keep them focused on the highest-value activities

Job Qualifications

Proven people-management and leadership skills, with experience supervising a team in a sales or customer support environment
Strong customer focus, with the ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues effectively
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with customers
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with the ability to write and maintain clear SOPs
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and navigate ambiguity
Ability to track, measure, and report on team performance metrics, and to translate data into action
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn new software such as Notion, Slack, and Inform
Team player who maintains a positive attitude across all interactions with teammates and direct reports
Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on leadership style and a bias toward action

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated success driving improvements in team productivity, customer satisfaction, and sales execution
Familiarity with CRM, ERP, AI, or quoting/order management systems
Existing knowledge of industrial tools and consumables, metalworking, or welding
A four-year degree is preferred

Requirements

A high school diploma is required, and a four-year degree is preferred. Applicants must consent to a background check and drug screening. Physical requirements may include lifting 25 lbs., climbing ladders, and standing for periods of time.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time, salaried position. Compensation is $70,000 to $90,000, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k. There are 8 paid company holidays, and the position is also eligible for paid time off. The typical schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, at our Mulberry, FL location.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
