We serve 13 Central Florida counties, including Polk, Citrus, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Sumter, Osceola, Orange, Seminole, Volusia, and Brevard.
We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our team at our headquarters in Lakeland, Florida. In this role, you will work closely with Credit and Lending leadership to evaluate new lending opportunities, support portfolio management, and provide sound credit recommendations across a diverse loan portfolio. This position offers exposure to agricultural, commercial, residential, and occasionally middle-market lending opportunities, making it an excellent opportunity for a motivated analyst looking to expand their credit expertise and advance their career.

What You'll Do
Credit Analysis & Underwriting
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and other financial information to evaluate creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
- Underwrite new loan requests in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policy, and sound credit principles.
- Assess borrower and transaction strengths, risks, and mitigants utilizing the 5 Cs of Credit framework.
- Assign appropriate risk ratings supported by thorough qualitative analysis and sound judgment.
Credit Recommendations & Decision Support
- Develop comprehensive credit presentations and recommendations for management, loan committees, and approval authorities.
- Clearly communicate transaction structure, risk assessment, policy exceptions, and supporting rationale.
- Partner with loan officers and decision-makers to obtain information necessary for timely credit decisions.
- Present complex transactions professionally and confidently to internal stakeholders.
Portfolio Management & Risk Monitoring
- Monitor assigned relationships for compliance with financial and loan covenants.
- Review servicing requests, financial reporting, and other portfolio activities in a timely manner.
- Identify emerging credit trends and potential risk concerns and communicate findings appropriately.
- Support effective portfolio risk management while maintaining strong customer service standards.
Professional Development
- Develop a strong working knowledge of Farm Credit lending systems, policies, procedures, and risk management practices.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, analytical thinking, and independent decision-making capabilities.
- Build toward delegated credit approval authority through demonstrated expertise and performance.
Assist with special projects and increasingly complex lending relationships as experience grows.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of credit analysis, underwriting, financial analysis, or related banking experience.
- Strong understanding of:
- Business and personal financial statement analysis
- Cash flow analysis
- Loan structures and underwriting principles
- The 5 Cs of Credit
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business technology applications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Farm Credit of Central Florida's mission, values, and culture.
Preferred
- Knowledge of covenant monitoring and portfolio management practices.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience presenting credit recommendations to committees or approval authorities.
Knowledge of agriculture or farm management practices a plus.

Work Arrangement
This position is based in Lakeland, Florida. Following successful onboarding and demonstrated proficiency, employees may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement of up to two remote workdays per week.
