Full Job Description

Tax Accountant –(Entry Level)

Join a modern tax team where technical accounting skills, client service, and emerging technology come together. The Tax Accountant will prepare tax returns, support tax research, assist with client service initiatives, and contribute to continuous process improvement. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who wants to grow in public accounting while learning how AI-powered tools, workflow automation, and connected business systems can make tax work more efficient, accurate, and engaging.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
One to three years of public accounting, internship, or related experience is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Interest in learning modern tax technologies, including AI-assisted research, productivity tools, and workflow automation.
Basic understanding of business software systems and how information flows between applications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks, with a willingness to adopt emerging tax and workflow technologies.
Interest in pursuing a CPA, EA, or other professional certification.

What You Will Do

Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other entities.
Assist with tax research, IRS correspondence, and special projects that strengthen client service.
Maintain accurate workpapers and documentation.
Collaborate with financial advisors and team members to address client needs.

Technology Focus

Help bridge the gap between the corporate tax department and IT.
Assist in maintaining tax dashboards and workflow status reports using platforms.
Learn new software with confidence and adapt well as tools and workflows evolve.
Recognize the importance of data security, confidentiality, and responsible AI use.
Extract, clean, and analyze datasets to feed into tax workflows to reduce manual entry and streamline tax workflow.
