Full Job Description

Position Overview

Holger Dental Group is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Dental Office Patient Care & Billing Coordinator to join our team. This unique role combines front office patient care responsibilities with dental insurance and billing functions, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and administrative work. The ideal candidate has strong dental insurance knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Schedule

Monday: 11:15 AM – 7:00 PM (Minnetonka)
Tuesday: 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM (Minneapolis)
Wednesday: 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM (Minneapolis)
Thursday: 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM (Minneapolis)

Key Responsibilities

Welcome patients and provide an exceptional check-in and check-out experience.
Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general inquiries.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately.
Process insurance claims and monitor outstanding claims.
Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid or delayed claims.
Maintain accurate patient accounts and billing records.
Communicate with patients regarding account balances and insurance questions.
Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure accurate treatment documentation for insurance billing.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Support overall front office operations and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of dental office administrative and billing experience required.
Strong understanding of dental insurance claims, billing, and payment posting.
Experience following up on outstanding insurance claims.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office.
Experience with dental practice management software is preferred.
