Position Summary:
Kindred Spa & Wellness Center is seeking a dependable and personable Part-Time Wellness Guide to join our growing team.
This position combines hospitality, wellness technology, client education, front-desk support, and facility care. Wellness Guides help guests understand and safely experience our advanced wellness services while ensuring every visit reflects Kindred’s standards for professionalism, cleanliness, safety, and genuine care.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, learning new technology, staying organized, and contributing to a team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome, check in, and assist guests with professionalism, warmth, and confidence.
- Help guests navigate their appointments and understand what to expect during each service.
- Confirm that all required intake forms, waivers, and safety screenings are completed before treatment.
- Operate and guide guests through wellness technologies such as:
- Ammortal Chamber
- ARRC LED light therapy
- Whole-body cryotherapy
- Infrared sauna and cold plunge
- PEMF therapy
- Vibroacoustic therapy
- Compression therapy
- Dry flotation
- Medical massage chairs
- Explain session procedures, general benefits, timing, safety requirements, and aftercare without making medical claims.
- Monitor guest comfort and follow all established safety and emergency procedures.
- Sanitize, inspect, and reset rooms and equipment between every appointment.
- Complete opening, closing, sanitation, and end-of-day checklists accurately.
- Maintain required treatment, cleaning, safety, and equipment logs.
- Report equipment concerns, maintenance needs, incidents, or guest issues promptly to management.
- Support front-desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing checkouts, and responding to basic guest questions.
- Assist guests with rebooking and provide clear information about services, packages, memberships, and retail products.
- Support the overall flow of the spa through restocking, laundry, light cleaning, and room preparation.
- Communicate effectively with service providers, leadership, and other Wellness Guides to keep the guest experience running smoothly.
- Protect guest privacy and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
- Follow Kindred’s policies, service standards, dress expectations, and established chain of communication.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, wellness, fitness, customer service, healthcare support, or a spa environment is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
- Comfortable learning and operating technology-based wellness equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a serious commitment to sanitation and safety.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to follow established procedures.
- Able to remain calm, professional, and attentive in a guest-facing environment.
- Willing to assist with both wellness services and front-desk responsibilities.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- Comfortable discussing services, memberships, and retail products with guests.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, perform light cleaning, and assist with routine room setup throughout a shift.
Schedule and Availability
- Part-time position with weekday and regular Saturday availability.
- Kindred is closed on Sundays.
- Availability for a combination of opening, daytime, and closing shifts may be needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Scheduled hours must be approved by management and may not be independently changed or blocked without authorization.
