Job Title: Part-Time Clinical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania

About Us:

We are a fast-paced and well-established dermatology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive skin care to our diverse patient population. Our team consists of an experienced dermatologist / dermatopathologist with over 30 years of experience, nurses, and support staff who are passionate about delivering top-quality care. We specialize in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, treating a wide range of skin conditions in a patient-centered environment.

Position Summary:

Our practice is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join our clinical team. This position is an excellent fit for Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) or recent college graduates (particularly those taking a gap year for medical or PA school) who are looking for high-quality clinical exposure. Please note: This is a long-term role and not a seasonal summer position. We are looking for a candidate who can commit to the practice for at least one full year.

We are looking for a professional who is eager to contribute to a high-standard patient care environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our dynamic team as a Front Desk & Clinical Medical Assistant. This role is a multifaceted position that requires excellent communication, interpersonal/organizational skills, and attention to details. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth office operations, and assisting with clinical procedures.

Schedule & Availability

Availability: Starting May or early June.
Hours: Full days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Consistency: Must be able to commit to these three days most weeks.

Responsibilities:

Front Desk Duties:
Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Answer and direct phone calls, handle inquiries, and provide basic information to patients.
Manage patient records, including data entry, filing, and maintaining confidentiality.
Collect co-pays and process payments.
Assist with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Clinical Duties:
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
Assist the physician/nurse during procedures, such as biopsies, mole removals, cosmetic procedures, and minor surgeries.
Sterilize and prepare medical instruments.
Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment.
Assist with inventory management of medical supplies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree OR Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA) required.
We welcome both career medical assistants and those pursuing advanced healthcare degrees (MD, DO, PA).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Fast learner, professional demeanor, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
