- The Marketing & Content Coordinator is an integral member of the Office of Custom Executive Education and serves as the team's primary content producer, responsible for bringing McDonough's marketing strategy to life through compelling content, thoughtful design, and exceptional execution.
- Working closely with the Director of Marketing and the Business Development team, this individual will create polished, client-ready marketing assets that strengthen brand, support business development efforts, and engage corporate audiences across every stage of the customer journey. From proposals and presentations to email campaigns, social media, one-pagers, case studies, and digital collateral, this role transforms strategic ideas into high-quality marketing experiences that reflect reputation for excellence.
- The ideal candidate combines strong writing and visual communication skills with an eye for design, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for producing content that is both strategic and beautifully executed.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Proposal & Marketing Asset Development
- Own the creation and production of client-facing proposals, presentations, one-pagers, capability statements, brochures, and other marketing collateral. Ensure materials are visually compelling, strategically organized, professionally designed, and tailored to prospective clients while maintaining premium brand standards.
- Content Production & Brand Storytelling
- Develop and repurpose high-quality content across multiple channels, including case studies, executive thought leadership, blog posts, newsletters, websites, email campaigns, and social media. Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content that resonates with corporate executives and organizational leaders.
- Creative Design & Brand Management
- Produce light graphic design for digital and print marketing, including social media graphics, email banners, event promotions, infographics, and branded collateral. Maintain consistency across all marketing materials while continuously elevating the visual quality of marketing presence.
Email Marketing & Campaign Execution
- Build and manage branded email templates, newsletters, nurture campaigns, and landing page content using marketing automation platforms. Support campaign execution from concept through deployment while optimizing communications for engagement and maintaining brand consistency.
- Campaign Production
- Coordinate the production and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, web, social media, paid media, events, and thought leadership initiatives. Manage creative timelines, coordinate asset development, and ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Support Lead Conversion
- Execute marketing activities that nurture prospective clients throughout the sales journey, including follow-up communications, campaign implementation, and marketing support for business development initiatives. Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to ensure timely, personalized engagement with prospective clients.
- Client Engagement & Retention
- Support alumni and client engagement initiatives by developing email campaigns, maintaining marketing lists, tracking campaign performance, and creating communications that encourage repeat and expanded partnerships.
Marketing Operations & Asset Management
- Maintain and continuously improve the team's library of proposal templates, presentations, case studies, photography, design assets, and marketing resources. Develop scalable templates and production workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and speed across the marketing function.
- Business Development Support
- Provide executional support for client meetings, presentations, proposal development, and strategic business development initiatives. Assist with coordination of marketing logistics and other activities that strengthen client relationships and support organizational growth.
Market Research & Insights
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing best practices to identify opportunities for strengthening positioning, messaging, and marketing content.
Work Interactions
- The Marketing & Content Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing for the Office of Custom Executive Education and works closely with the Business Development team. This role collaborates across departments, external vendors, faculty, and University partners to ensure marketing initiatives align with institutional priorities and are executed with excellence.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in marketing, communications, content marketing, or creative production.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated experience creating polished marketing materials, presentations, proposals, and digital assets with a strong eye for layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience producing content across multiple channels, including email marketing, social media, websites, presentations, and print collateral.
- Proficiency with Canva required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) strongly preferred.
- Experience building branded email templates and working within marketing automation platforms (Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar).
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
- Experience managing content management systems such as WordPress is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
