We are a growing pediatric dental practice looking for a motivated, energetic, and hardworking Dental Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside an amazing team dedicated to providing the highest quality clinical care and exceptional customer service to our patients and their families. What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 4 years of dental assisting experience
At least 2 consecutive years with the same employer
Dental radiography certification
Excellent work ethic, professionalism, and reliability
Strong communication and customer service skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
A passion for working with children and helping create a positive dental experience

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification is preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and the ability to perform expanded functions.

Position Objectives

The Dental Assistant will:

Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
Maintain the integrity and professional reputation of the practice.
Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Understand and comply with all applicable OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and bloodborne pathogen requirements.
Contribute to a positive, efficient, and supportive team environment.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Opening and closing the clinical area.
Preparing, sterilizing, and processing dental instruments while maintaining proper infection control procedures.
Maintaining and caring for dental equipment.
Setting up and breaking down dental operatories.
Assisting the doctor during dental procedures and treatment.
Cleaning and disinfecting operatories between patients.
Restocking operatories and assisting with inventory management of dental supplies and materials.
Taking dental radiographs as needed.
Accurately documenting treatment and clinical notes in patient records.
Maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming clinical environment.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional clinical environment and routinely uses standard dental equipment, including computers, autoclaves, dental radiography equipment, and dental instruments.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate, stand, walk, and use their hands and fingers to handle equipment and instruments. The employee may also be required to reach with hands and arms, bend, twist, and move or lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

Education and Experience Requirements

Associate degree preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 4 years of patient care experience in the dental field required.
Dental radiography certification required.
CDA or RDA certification preferred.
