About the Role

As a Mechanical Systems Specialist, you will drive innovation by designing and refining sustainable industrial machinery. You will leverage your expertise in CAD design and hands-on fabrication to transform conceptual prototypes into high-performance, real-world solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software to support machinery design.
Coordinate with fabrication partners to ensure high-quality component production and assembly.
Optimize control systems by collaborating with electrical engineering teams to integrate AC/DC electronics and gearmotor components.
Drive continuous improvement by troubleshooting mechanical assemblies and implementing practical, long-term fixes.
Manage end-to-end procurement of critical hardware, including electronic sensors, filters, and mechanical parts.
Oversee prototype testing cycles and maintain rigorous data collection to validate design performance.
Maintain organized project workflows, ensuring milestones are met through proactive communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Proven hands-on experience in mechanical systems, industrial fabrication, or equipment maintenance.
Strong proficiency in CAD software for design and technical documentation.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex mechanical problems within a fast-paced prototype environment.
Self-directed work ethic with the ability to manage multiple project tasks independently.

Preferred Skills

Experience with metal fabrication techniques and mechanical component repair.
Familiarity with electronic controls, gearmotors, and auger systems.
Background in project management or coordinating international technical collaborations.
Academic background in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
