Practice Administrator

Pulmonary & Critical Care Practice

Clearwater, Florida

Executive Leadership Opportunity

An established, highly respected Pulmonary and Critical Care physician practice located in beautiful Clearwater, Florida is seeking an experienced Practice Administrator to serve as the senior administrative executive for our growing multi-physician specialty practice.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic healthcare executive who possesses strong operational, financial, and strategic leadership skills and enjoys partnering closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to advance organizational excellence.

Reporting directly to the Executive Committee and Physician Board, the Practice Administrator will provide executive leadership for all administrative, financial, operational, human resources, information technology, compliance, revenue cycle, managed care, and business development activities of the practice while supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Our practice is a well-established, physician-owned Pulmonary and Critical Care group providing comprehensive outpatient pulmonary care, critical care services, sleep medicine, and advanced diagnostic procedures throughout the Clearwater region. We are committed to clinical excellence, operational efficiency, outstanding patient service, and continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities

The Practice Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of the practice and is responsible for:

Executive leadership of all business and operational functions
Strategic planning and implementation
Financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
Revenue cycle oversight and optimization
Managed care contracting, negotiation, reimbursement analysis, and payer relations
Human Resources leadership including recruitment, employee engagement, compensation, and performance management
Regulatory compliance and risk management
Information technology and electronic medical record oversight
Facilities management and vendor relationships
Retirement plan administration and liaison with plan advisors
Physician support and governance
Development and monitoring of organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Business development and practice growth strategies

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive healthcare management experience
Prior leadership experience within a physician practice or ambulatory healthcare organization
Demonstrated expertise in physician practice operations, financial management, and revenue cycle performance
Experience negotiating and administering managed care contracts
Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships with physicians, providers, employees, and external business partners

Professional certifications such as FACMPE, CMPE, ACMPE, FACHE, or similar credentials are highly desirable.
