Full Job Description

Crosspoint Realty Services is one of the Bay Area's leading commercial property management firms, proudly serving clients and communities throughout the region. We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our collaborative team in Novato, California.

If you are a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and taking ownership of a portfolio, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced Accounting and Property Management professionals while contributing to the financial success of high-profile retail shopping centers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Property Accountant, you will partner with Accounting Managers and Property Managers to support the financial operations and reporting of a portfolio of commercial properties. Your key responsibilities will include:

Manage full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes for an assigned property portfolio.
Collaborate with Accounting Managers and Property Managers on day-to-day property operations and financial reporting.
Oversee tenant accounting activities including A/R, A/P, and tenant billings.
Review and prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow projections.
Complete annual budget preparation and forecasting.
Prepare and review annual CAM reconciliations.
Ad hoc projects as required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of GL accounting experience, including property accounting experience
Solid GAAP knowledge and core accounting principles
Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Yardi or MRI software is highly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Enjoy multi-tasking in a small company setting
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Positive attitude, sound judgment, and a strong sense of responsibility
