Overview

A growing healthcare organization is seeking a professional and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support employees and leadership within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. This position is responsible for assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and various human resources functions.

The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while supporting a positive workplace culture.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This role assists with recruiting top talent, onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel records, ensuring compliance, and providing excellent customer service to employees and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and hiring activities.
Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and HR-related questions.
Track licensure, certifications, required training, and compliance deadlines.
Support employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
Assist with employee relations matters and policy administration.
Process employment documentation, including new hires, status changes, leaves of absence, and separations.
Assist with workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
Support payroll-related functions as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state employment regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
Healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
