Full Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Precision CNC Machinist to join our specialized manufacturing team. You will play a critical role in transforming raw materials into high-precision components for mission-critical industries, utilizing your expertise in setup, programming, and troubleshooting to deliver exceptional quality on every project.

Responsibilities

Execute complex setups and operate Mazak CNC machining centers to produce high-tolerance, custom components.
Program and optimize CNC code directly at the machine to improve efficiency and part accuracy.
Interpret intricate blueprints and technical drawings to ensure exact specifications are met for diverse materials like Inconel, stainless steel, and specialty alloys.
Conduct rigorous quality inspections using advanced precision measuring instrumentation to verify component integrity.
Proactively troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming challenges to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to solve manufacturing hurdles and refine processes for short-run projects.
Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and organization to support a productive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Proven professional experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform independent machine setups and tool changes.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex technical blueprints.
Proficiency in utilizing precision measuring tools to ensure strict quality control.

Preferred Skills

Hands-on experience specifically with Mazak control systems.
Technical background in multi-axis or 5-axis machining operations.
Previous experience working within a custom job shop or short-run production facility.
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
