Tax Manager, Pheonix, AZ.

Some firms say they are flexible. This one actually means it.

If you join this mid sized regional CPA firm you will have the support and resources of a larger firm that maintains its smaller firm feel. You'll be part of a team that still believes public accounting works best when people talk to each other, learn from each other, and are not left guessing in a corner with 47 open review notes and no guidance.

The firm is growing and is looking for experienced tax people at Senior, Supervisor and Manager level.

The culture is the big sell here. Flexible, personal, collaborative, open door, teaching focused. The kind of place where asking a question is not treated like a character flaw but openly encouraged for your development and growth.

Busy season is busy, because it is still public accounting. Expect around 55 to 65 hours, with Saturdays during peak season. The rest of the year drops back to around 35 to 40 hours.

They have several offices around Arizona that you can work from. You'll be in the office enough to build relationships, collaborate during busy season, and actually feel part of the team but hybrid is fine if you want some flexibility and a day or two from home.

The work is broad. You will get exposure to individuals, businesses, tax planning, tax compliance, trusts and estates, IRS representation, bookkeeping, advisory and wider business consulting. Client industries include agribusiness, construction, restaurants, manufacturing, HNW, hospitality, food and beverage, and more.

3+ years of CPA firm experience
Tax experience at Senior, Supervisor or Manager level
