About Creating Connections: Creating Connections Preschool employs High Scope Curriculum paired with Conscious Disciple to educate infants and children (ages 6 weeks to 5 years) in an warm, friendly, and child-centered environment. All of our childcare are housed within our therapy centers, which provide services to children with autism, allowing for an inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming environment.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Teacher at Creating Connections is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which young children can grow and develop. The Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in implementing the High Scope curriculum, along with Conscious Discipline, to encourage active learning and support children's development across all domains.

Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of lesson plans that align with High Scope curriculum and Creating Connections educational goals.
Provide a safe and supportive learning environment utilizing principles and methodologies from Conscious Discipline to support the social and emotional skills of all children.
Assist with assessments to monitor students' progress and development
Ensure the well-being and safety of all children in the classroom
Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and caregivers

Experience:

Previous experience with children required.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development or related field preferred.
