Full Job Description

BrightStar Care has expanded into the Lawrence/Topeka area and we are looking for an ambitious Home Care Sales and Business Development Manager! Their sister company, BrightStar Care Overland Park/Olathe, has been a highly sought-after provider of skilled and non-skilled home care and medical staffing services in the Johnson County area since 2015. With a large market in the Lawrence/Topeka area, we are excited to continue our efforts and serve a new population.

This role offers a base salary and a competitive commission package. The Home Care Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for developing their territory through making connections at networking events, hospitals, rehabs, assisted living communities, skilled communities, etc. in an effort to become the preferred provider in the market. The Sales and Business Development Manager will do this by maintaining and establishing new contacts that will develop into sales leads. They will have a strong presence in the community and actively promote the BrightStar brand. The Sales Manager will be equally effective in engaging referral sources to refer prospective clients to us, meeting with families in their living rooms to "convert" them into customers, and closing the cycle with the referral source by thanking them for the referral. BrightStar Care is seeking a high-energy and self-driven individual who shares our values, such as serving with passion and doing the right thing. The Sales Manager will initially work closely with our Sales Managers in Johnson County. She has been with our agency from its inception in 2016 and has excelled at generating leads, converting inquiries to clients, building relationships and seeking out new business opportunities. She excels at following the BrightStar model and is excited to pass along her knowledge and experience to a new Sales Manager! The Sales Manager will have a desk within the office located in Olathe, KS but will spend 95% of their time in the Lees Summit community maintaining and developing relationships with contacts.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-person visits to healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics, and eldercare facilities in order to generate sales for private duty home care and medical staffing contracts
Meet or exceed the established sales targets established by the manager
Develop a marketing plan for the assigned territory
Join and attend area networking and chamber groups
Seek, develop, and participate in marketing opportunities in the community
Establish working rapport with health care professionals in the territory
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to generate leads, manage a sales territory, maintain and build relationships with new and existing contacts
A minimum of one year of experience in the home healthcare industry, preferred
Experience with public speaking (in addition to presentation skills). Strong at persuasive and educational writing and speaking
Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and problem solving
Must be comfortable with closing/asking for business
Exhibit outstanding organizational skills and a service attitude towards the community
Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance
