THE ROLE: PM Pastry Chef

SCHEDULE: 5 days per week | 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

A KITCHEN WORTH SHOWING UP FOR
At Urban Hill, we believe the last bite of the night matters just as much as the first. We're a from-scratch, wood-fired kitchen in Salt Lake City's Post District, part of the Hill Top Hospitality family. Our food is rooted in regional American cooking, our culture is rooted in people, and we take both seriously.

We're looking for a skilled, passionate pastry chef to join our PM team.

You'll work closely with three time James Beard finalist, Executive Chef Nick Zocco, and collaborate with our Head Pastry Chef based in Park City to execute an elevated dessert and pastry program in our Urban Hill location. This is a full-time evening position for someone who takes real pride in their craft, works clean, and brings a steady, creative hand to everything they make.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Prepare and execute pastries, desserts, doughs, batters, fillings, and plated dessert components to a high standard
- Decorate and finish with care and precision, presentation matters here
- Collaborate on recipe development while maintaining consistency with established standards
- Write daily prep lists and communicate clearly with the team
- Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked
- Assist with closing procedures and set the next shift up for success

WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: Background as a pastry cook or chef in an upscale or professional kitchen
- Education: Formal pastry or culinary training preferred, though strong experience counts just as much
- Precision: Detail-oriented in measuring, timing, and finishing
- Creativity: You have an eye for beautiful work and ideas to match
- Stamina: Comfortable on your feet for a full shift, able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability: Five evenings per week, including weekends and holidays
- Attitude: Team-first, positive, and genuinely kind
