Bookkeeper

Part-Time | Approximately 2–3 Days Per Week | In-Office (Leesburg, FL)

We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys hands-on bookkeeping but also likes solving problems, organizing information, creating spreadsheets, and using technology to improve the way work gets done.

Although we are a small office, we embrace modern technology and actively use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to help streamline workflows, improve communication, organize information, and increase efficiency. You don't need to be an AI expert—we're looking for someone who is curious, willing to learn, and enjoys discovering better ways to accomplish everyday tasks.

Primary Responsibilities – Bookkeeping

This is a hands-on bookkeeping position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel every day.

Responsibilities include:

Hands-on bookkeeping using QuickBooks Desktop
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
Preparing organized financial reports and supporting documentation for our CPA
Processing annual 1099 preparation and related documentation
Processing and tracking vacation rental sales tax filings and payments
Organizing receipts, invoices, and financial records
Monitoring recurring expenses, vendor payments, and due dates
Maintaining accurate and organized electronic and paper financial files
Assisting with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial spreadsheets

Business Support Services

In addition to bookkeeping, you may provide support with:

Preparing correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets
Organizing digital and financial records
Coordinating follow-up tasks and projects
Assisting with technology implementation and process improvements
Supporting business initiatives, as mutually agreed upon
Providing additional bookkeeping, administrative, and operational support consistent with the scope of this engagement

Qualifications

Required

Strong hands-on bookkeeping experience
Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Desktop (required)
Experience preparing financial reports
Experience with bank reconciliations
Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Experience working with 1099s, sales tax, payroll records, or CPA support
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including spreadsheet creation and organization
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to independently organize work, prioritize assignments, and determine efficient methods for completing agreed-upon services.
Experience using ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or other AI tools

Preferred

Experience with vacation rentals or property management

In-Office Position

Approximately 2–3 days per week
In-office position in Leesburg, Florida
