Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Direct Reports: Practice Managers (all service lines/sites)

Location: The Villages, FL area, including Tri County Health LLC and Curelogics (multi-site, travel across all locations required)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Level: Director (entry-level director track)

Position Summary

The Director of Practice Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of all Cardiac & Vascular Consultants practice locations across every service line, including Tri County Health, LLC and Curelogics Wound Care.. This role serves as the operational layer between Practice Managers and the COO, translating enterprise strategy into consistent, executable practice-level operations. The Director will drive standardization across sites, ensure operational excellence in patient access and workflow, and serve as a key driver of employee and physician engagement across the enterprise.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who wants to grow into broader operational leadership within a multi-site healthcare organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Operations Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations across all CVC practice sites and service lines, ensuring consistent execution of policies, workflows, and standards of care delivery.
Serve as the direct supervisor and coach to Practice Managers, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development.
Standardize operational processes (scheduling, patient flow, front/back office workflows) across sites to reduce variability and improve efficiency.
Monitor daily operational metrics (patient access, wait times, staffing ratios, provider utilization) and drive corrective action where needed.
Act as an escalation point for Practice Managers on operational issues that require cross-site coordination or COO visibility.

Employee Engagement

Champion a positive, accountable workplace culture across all practice locations.
Partner with Practice Managers to address staffing concerns, morale issues, and turnover drivers at the site level.
Support onboarding, training consistency, and career development pathways for practice-level staff.
Conduct regular site visits and rounding to stay connected to frontline teams and surface issues early.

Physician Engagement

Build and maintain strong working relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers across service lines.
Serve as a liaison between physicians and practice operations, ensuring provider feedback informs operational decisions.
Support smooth integration of newly recruited physicians into practice operations (in coordination with recruitment and credentialing functions).
Help identify and resolve friction points between clinical workflow and administrative operations.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Partner with RCM/billing, HR, IT, and clinical leadership to ensure operational alignment across departments.
Support rollout of new systems, tools, or workflow changes at the practice level, ensuring Practice Managers and staff are equipped to adopt them.
Provide regular operational reporting and updates to the COO, flagging risks, trends, and opportunities.
Assist in special projects related to practice expansion, new site openings, or service line growth.

QualificationsRequired

3-5+ years of experience in medical practice operations, ideally in a multi-site or multi-specialty setting.
Prior experience directly supervising managers or supervisors (not just individual contributors).
Strong understanding of medical practice workflows — scheduling, patient access, front/back office operations.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with physicians and clinical staff.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
Experience in cardiology, vascular, or another procedural/specialty practice setting.
Familiarity with practice management or EHR systems.
Experience supporting new site openings or practice integrations.
Master's degree (MHA, MBA) a plus but not required.

Positive physician feedback on operational responsiveness and support.
Reduced escalations to the COO on issues that should be resolved at the Practice Manager layer.
Demonstrated ownership of at least one cross-site initiative (e.g., new site integration, workflow standardization project).

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
