Senior Accountant – Albany, GA

Join a dynamic hospitality and entertainment organization operating a trio of vibrant venues at the Flint River Entertainment Complex. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to play a key role ensuring sound financial operations for multiple event-driven properties in southwest Georgia.

Accounting Manager Benefits & Compensation

Annual base salary of $60,000–$70,000

Accounting Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
High-level proficiency with computers, especially Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and reporting
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Ability to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require

Accounting Manager Preferred Background & Skills

3–5 years of experience in arena or convention center accounting
Experience supervising or leading others in a finance role
Familiarity with accounting software, especially NetSuite and Coupa
Experience collaborating across different levels of management

Accounting Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Support the Director of Finance in daily, monthly, and year-end finance department operations
Take an active role in ensuring accurate, timely financial statements and reports
Oversee and review credit card expenses, accounts receivable/payable entries, and cash receipts
Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
Safeguard company assets by monitoring accounting procedures and assisting with audits
Assist with event-related financial settlements and prepare show income/loss statements
Help implement and monitor internal controls, compliance, and best practices
Contribute to the preparation of audit materials and respond to client reporting requests
