Full Job Description

We’re Looking for Someone Who Gets Things Done

We are looking for a fast-moving, highly organized, resourceful Administrative & Digital Assistant who is comfortable with technology, AI, social media and a constantly changing list of projects.

This is not a traditional administrative assistant position where you will be handed the same routine tasks every day.

We need someone who can be given an assignment, understand the objective, figure out the next steps and move it forward without requiring constant supervision.

You might spend part of your day organizing Google Drive, researching something online, building a spreadsheet, working with ChatGPT, preparing a document, updating social media, entering information into a system or following up with someone.

The next day may be completely different.

If you enjoy variety, learn quickly and are usually the person who figures out how to get something done, you may be exactly who we are looking for.

What You May Be Doing

Responsibilities may include:

Administrative support and data entry
Organizing Google Drive files, folders and shared information
Creating and editing Google Docs and Google Sheets
Building and maintaining spreadsheets, lists and databases
Internet research and fact-finding
Using ChatGPT and other AI tools to research, organize information, draft content and solve problems
Email organization and follow-up
Calendar and scheduling assistance
Preparing documents, reports, correspondence and other materials
Entering information into websites, forms and online systems
Posting and managing content on social media
Working with Facebook, Instagram and other social platforms
Organizing photos, graphics and digital assets
Uploading and updating website content
Making calls and following up on projects when needed
Learning new software and online systems
Keeping track of deadlines and outstanding items
Helping keep multiple projects organized and moving forward

Technology Skills Matter

You should already be comfortable working with:

Google Workspace
Google Drive
Google Docs
Google Sheets
Web browsers and internet research
ChatGPT
Facebook and other major social media platforms
General online business and productivity tools

Experience with additional AI tools, Canva or Adobe products, WordPress or website systems, email marketing, CRM software, project management platforms or social media scheduling tools is a plus.

You do not need to know every program we use.

You do need to be someone who can learn a new program without being intimidated by it.

Accurate Time Tracking Is Required

This is hourly contractor work.

You must be willing to accurately track your working time and identify what projects or tasks you worked on.

Good timekeeping and accountability are essential.

If consistently recording your time is something you dislike or have difficulty doing, this probably isn't the right position.

Optional Local Errands & Event Work

The position is primarily remote.

Applicants in the Fort Myers/Lee County area are preferred, and additional paid work may be available for someone interested in helping locally.

This may include:

Attending business, networking or community events
Assisting with event setup, registration or coordination
Taking photos or short videos
Gathering and posting social media content
Taking meeting notes and identifying follow-up items
Picking up or delivering materials
Running occasional business errands
Assisting with other local projects

This is optional. You do not have to be available for errands or events to apply.

Some local opportunities may occur in the morning, evening or occasionally on weekends.

Hours

We have substantial ongoing work available for the right person.

We are open to someone looking for part-time work or someone interested in taking on a significant number of hours.

What matters most is reliability, productivity and the ability to get things done.

Compensation

$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience, skill level and demonstrated ability.

Independent contractor position.

You're given a project that will probably take three hours, but after 30 minutes you realize there may be a much faster way to accomplish it. What do you do?

We aren't necessarily looking for the person with the longest resume.

We're looking for someone who is smart, dependable, comfortable with technology, willing to learn and very good at getting things done.
