Account Manager — Pencroft

About Us
At Pencroft, we believe outdoor living should be simple. Our mission is to take the complexity out of outdoor structure manufacturing — and we're looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Account Manager to help us grow our B2B partnerships with construction companies, retailers, and dealers. About the Role
As an Account Manager at Pencroft, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for our B2B accounts, building trusted relationships with the construction companies, retailers, and other partners who make up our client base. You'll own account growth strategy, drive retention and revenue expansion, and act as a key link between our clients and internal teams. This is a role for someone who thinks like a strategic partner, not just a vendor — someone who anticipates client needs before they're voiced and knows how to turn a conversation into a long-term relationship.

What You'll Do

Strategic Account Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned B2B accounts
Develop and execute account growth strategies and business development plans
Conduct bi-annual client check-ins (in person, virtual, or phone) to share updates and gather feedback, partnering with the Sales Manager to strengthen relationships
Provide clients with resources such as pricing, order forms, catalogs, and samples
Process quotes and orders, confirming details with clients as needed

Relationship Development

Build trust and credibility as a strategic partner within client organizations
Understand each client's business model, industry landscape, and competitive pressures
Represent Pencroft at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions
Identify key decision-makers and points of contact within client organizations
Resolve escalated issues to ensure high client satisfaction

Revenue Growth & Retention

Drive account expansion through upselling, cross-selling, and new use-case identification
Meet or exceed retention and revenue growth targets for your portfolio
Proactively identify account risk and implement retention strategies
Collaborate with sales and product teams to align offerings with client needs

Team Collaboration

Partner with account coordinators for seamless daily execution
Provide guidance to teammates managing transactional account activities
Serve as an escalation point for complex client issues
Share client feedback and market insights with internal teams to inform product and service improvements

What You Bring

2+ years of B2B account management or client services experience (construction, building materials, or related industry preferred)
A proven track record managing accounts with annual contracts
Demonstrated success in customer retention and account growth
Strong business acumen and comfort engaging with business owners, purchasing managers, and other decision-makers
Strategic, problem-solving mindset with the ability to spot opportunities
Experience negotiating contracts and navigating procurement
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
