Full Job Description

Legal Secretary/Legal Administrative Assistant, Dallas, TX

Friedman & Feiger, LLP, a business litigation law firm, is seeking a Full-Time, In-Office Legal Secretary/Legal Administrative Assistant to join the Managing Partner's legal team. Qualified candidates MUST HAVE RECENT CIVIL LITIGATION EXPERIENCE and will also have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Provide administrative support to litigation attorneys in the practice of business and civil litigation law;
Assist in preparing for hearings, trials, mediation, arbitration, depositions, and meetings in a fast-paced, high volume litigation practice;
Maintain, organize and manage electronic and paper client files;
Must have knowledge of state and federal litigation deadlines for calendaring deadlines;
Exercise discretion and confidentiality with regard to client information;
Proficient use of a document management system; preferably eDocs;
Ability to e-File in State and Federal courts;
Maintain attorney calendars;
Superior written, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills;
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy;
Adhere to Firm policies and procedures as outlined in the Firm portal;

Qualifications:

Five (5) plus years of recent litigation experience in a law firm;
Advanced knowledge of legal terminology, the litigation process and rules of procedure; excellent litigation, secretarial, grammar, and proofreading skills;
High proficiency in all programs in MS Office Suite;
Ability to operating standard office equipment;
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, courts and opposing counsel;
Ability to work positively within a team environment;
Superior keyboarding - typing speed of at least 65+ words per minute;
Dependable, with excellent attendance;
Candidate must be able to pass a background check;
