Full Job Description

Title : Route Accounting Clerk

Location : Dallas, TX 75240

Duration : 03+ Months Contract

Schedule : 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 10AM - 6:30PM

Pay Rate : $17.00/ Hr. on W2

Note: Onsite interviews ONLY. Rotating schedule

Summary

The Route Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting daily route settlement activities, including reviewing driver paperwork, reconciling cash and product variances, processing deposits, and resolving accounting discrepancies. This role works closely with drivers, route accounting, warehouse, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely route settlements and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Research and resolve driver over/short issues involving cash and product/load.
Review driver paperwork, proof of deliveries, and settlement documentation.
Monitor daily route status and resolve settlement exceptions and discrepancies.
Perform cashiering, cash reconciliation, deposit preparation, and route cash security.
Maintain driver compliance logs, deposit records, and missing document logs.
Troubleshoot handheld and route accounting issues and assist with SAP reconciliation.
Conduct driver audits and support internal control requirements.
Research and process mail checks and related documentation.

Skills/ Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required; some college preferred.
2–5 years of experience in an automated office environment.
Route accounting and cash room experience preferred.
Basic computer/database skills, accurate data entry, and strong organizational skills.
Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Must comply with CCSWB safety and PPE requirements.
Safety footwear must meet company specifications.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Experience:

Route accounting and cash room : 1 year (Required)
automated office environment: 1 year (Required)
