The Wedding Sales Associate is responsible for managing the full wedding sales cycle—from lead generation and venue tours to contracting, planning, and event execution—while delivering exceptional client experiences and driving revenue for Southfork Ranch. The Wedding Sales Associate will proactively cultivate new business, conduct venue tours, prepare proposals, manage client communications, and coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution. While weddings are the primary focus, this role also supports social events and other revenue-generating opportunities.
Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to build lasting client relationships while identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and event value. Evening and weekend availability may be required based on client and event schedules.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Generate and convert wedding and social event leads through inquiry follow-up, networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Conduct engaging venue tours and present Southfork Ranch as the venue of choice for weddings and special events.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and event details to close business and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Identify upsell opportunities to enhance the client experience and event value.
- Meet sales goals through strong follow-up, relationship management, and consistent prospecting.
Client, Vendor & Event Management
- Build strong relationships with couples, families, planners, and vendors throughout the planning process.
- Manage event logistics including tastings, walkthroughs, timelines, floorplans, and vendor coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact from booking through event execution, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Be onsite for assigned weddings and events to oversee setup, vendor management, execution, and client needs.
- Partner with operations and culinary teams to ensure successful event delivery.
- Evening and weekend availability required based on client and event schedules.
Market Knowledge & Venue Positioning
- Maintain knowledge of wedding trends, local competition, pricing, and market conditions.
- Effectively communicate Southfork Ranch’s unique value and differentiate the venue from competitors.
- Share client feedback and market insights to support continued growth and guest satisfaction.
Administrative & Collaboration
- Accurately maintain CRM records of all leads, activities, proposals, and contracts.
- Prepare and submit sales reports and documentation as required.
- Collaborate closely with event operations, culinary, and service teams to ensure execution of booked events.
- Participate in sales blitzes, team meetings, and cross-departmental initiatives.
- Respond to incoming inquiries within company-established timelines, ensuring timely and well-crafted proposals that drive conversion.
- Develop customized proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) that align with client needs and Southfork Ranch standards.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing strategies to maximize space utilization, protect financial goals, and achieve revenue targets.
- Contribute to revenue goals as defined by leadership, adjusting approach based on seasonal demand, business priorities, and market shifts.
- Identify upsell opportunities for services, enhancements, and add-ons that increase both client satisfaction and event profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field (preferred, not required).
- 1+ years of sales experience in hospitality, events, catering, or related industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to prospect, develop new business, and grow existing accounts.
- Knowledge of event space utilization, revenue management, and upselling strategies.
- Familiarity with competitive landscape in hospitality/event venues (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first, hospitality-driven approach.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM systems for tracking leads, proposals, and client activity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.32 - $48.07 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
