Full Job Description

Principal Functions of the Position:

This position is responsible for producing finished goods and component parts using various machining technologies, including conventional metal-turning equipment, CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, and CNC lathes. Responsibilities include CNC programming, training, machine setup, improving machine efficiency, tooling, and maintaining the proper care and operation of all CNC equipment

Primary Responsibilities:

Ability or work safely and identify safety issues.
Must possess leadership skills and work well with others.
Drive Safety and Quality processes.
Able to G code and Conversational program Haas Mills/Lathes and Mazak Lathes.
Experience with Fusion 360 or relatable programing software.
Must be proficient in blueprint reading and computer programs
Creates and maintains CNC programs for plasma/punch machines, plasma and oxy fuel tables.
Maintains Bills of Material associated with plasma/punch, plasma, and oxy fuel process; ensuring that part programs and Bills of Material are consistent with each other.
Actively seeks continual improvement through increased material utilization and reduced scrap within the plasma/punch, plasma, and oxy fuel burn table processes.
Entering new tool numbers and appropriately structuring them to parts and processes within the ERP system.
Creates and maintains tooling job orders in response to engineering change notifications, ensuring that necessary tool and fixture changes are communicated and executed.
Setup, modify and run component parts and finished goods
Make periodic adjustments or modifications at the work center during cycle
Strong understanding of Growth Mindset and servant leadership

Working Conditions:

100% indoors on concrete flooring with exposure to heat, vibration, and loud noise

Required Personal Protective Equipment:

Hearing protection, eye protection, and steel toe shoes

Physical Demand:

Full range of motion in arms, legs and shoulders
Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place.
Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.
Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Pre- Requisitions:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC operation and programming.
High school diploma (or GED) Required.
Tool and Die degree or advanced training in CNC Machining preferred.
Experience with programming CNC machining centers and other manufacturing centers.
Experience with supporting tooling, fixturing and prototyping.
Proficiency with written, verbal, presentation and telephone communications skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point, etc.
Must embrace teamwork.
Understand basic computer skills (Outlook, Teams and other desktop applications).
Ability to drive and maintain a clean, organized work area.
