Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Server, where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this role, you will be the friendly face that guides guests through their meal, ensuring exceptional service from start to finish. Your culinary knowledge, beverage expertise, and ability to manage multiple tables with efficiency will contribute to a lively and welcoming atmosphere. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your food industry experience, sales skills, and passion for hospitality in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, including host/hostess responsibilities when needed
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional menu items like wines or spirits to enhance guest experience
Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including wine and cocktail options, to provide recommendations and answer guest questions confidently
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, serving, and cleanup procedures
Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during busy periods, and supporting overall guest relations to foster a welcoming environment

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of hospitality principles
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices in the food industry
Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques like OpenTable reservations or drink recommendations
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills or tips
Experience with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
Previous roles involving serving, bartending, cashiering, or host/hostess duties are highly valued
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a lively and energetic attitude
