Full Job Description

Class Summary

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.

Job Description
This Part-Time Billing Analyst position within Customer Care is responsible for processing bill exceptions for residential and commercial customers, reviewing system validation failures for meter readings, and assisting the billing support team with analytical tasks related to customer accounts.

Essential Duties

Distributes and monitors the processing of bill exceptions, meter reading validations, and bill adjustments.
Handles the Commercial billing for Cooling Towers, long-term fire hydrants, Sewer Charges, Wholesale accounts, and Own consumption.
Coordinates with other Divisions, such as Meter Services and Field Operations, regarding customer issues and work orders
Coordinates the release of approved billing invoices to Bill Print Vendor.
Conducts UAT (user acceptance testing) for any program or system changes in UMAX.
Coordinates with IT, Finance, and FCS on open bill errors and resolves issues.
Supports the Call Center & Inbound Commercial team in resolving billing disputes, including commercial & residential escalations.
Assists the Billing Support Supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day Billing performance of all customer accounts.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members.

Other Job Requirements/Information

This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or closely related field
