Full Job Description

Job Summary
Part time position with adjustable schedule. Typical hours would be 9am-1pm but can adjust to candidate's schedule. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software to support the financial operations of our organization.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping practices.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
Prepare and manage tax documents, ensuring compliance with governmental accounting standards.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
Utilize accounting software, such as Quicken, to manage financial data efficiently.
Handle clerical duties related to bookkeeping, including 10 key typing for data entry tasks.
Monitor debits and credits to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.

Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quicken or similar platforms.
Experience with governmental accounting is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
