Experienced CNC Machinist
Central Machining, Inc. (CMI) is looking for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. We are a precision machine shop looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can produce quality parts efficiently and consistently.
We are currently hiring for both day and night shift positions. Applicants must be available to work the shift for which they are applying.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision machined parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Select and install appropriate tooling and make necessary tool offsets
- Make machine adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy
- Inspect finished and in-process parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
- Monitor tooling and replace or adjust tooling as needed
- Identify and troubleshoot machining issues
- Maintain accurate production and job documentation
- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members
Qualifications
- Several years of CNC machining experience preferred
- Experience with Mazak and/or Doosan preferred
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and setups
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient use of precision measuring instruments
- Ability to make tooling, offset, and existing program adjustments
- Strong understanding of tolerances and GD&T
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and quality issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Reliable attendance and dependable work habits
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with a variety of materials and machining applications is a plus
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a skilled machinist—not someone who simply loads and unloads machines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable setting up jobs, making adjustments, inspecting their own work, and troubleshooting problems when they arise.
Candidates should take pride in producing quality parts and be willing to take ownership of their work from setup through completion.
Schedule
Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–1:00 PM
Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
