Full Job Description

Job Summary

Blockhouse Company is a leading manufacturer of commercial furniture whose employees work in a Team oriented setting. We build quality products which are used in Behavioral Health facilities, Higher Education, Military and other markets. Our products are tough and attractive and we count on our employees to build to the highest standards in order to achieve complete customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Upholsterer role at Blockhouse is very important for the quality and appearance of our finished products. We build and sell a variety of upholstered chairs, love seats, couches, and modular furniture with commercial grade foam and fabrics which create a beautiful and durable end product for the customer.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in Upholstery work is a must. Working with heavy fabric, vinyl material, and foam is preferred. Industrial sewing machine experience is a plus, but not necessarily required. Automotive upholstery work is also a good source of related experience. Since the furniture piece is often completed in the Upholstery department an eye for detail and good workmanship is critical.

Hours of work: Monday through Thursday 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM; Fridays 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Benefits

Benefits available at 60 days including Health and Prescription coverage, Life and Short Term Disability insurance, Voluntary benefits include Vision, Dental, and supplemental Life insurance. Paid Time Off and Holidays are also part of the overall benefits package.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
