Full Job Description

Santoki, LLC (www.santoki.com), is a licensed distributor of LEGO® LED Lights and LEGO® Stationery in the USA. The financial excellence and transparency within the accounting department ensures the stability and growth of our operations. Our dedicated team thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment, driving success through ethical practices and a shared vision for the future.

We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Accounting to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The VP of Accounting is expected to provide strategic financial insights, ensure compliance, and lead key accounting processes. Vice President of Accounting responsibilities also include financial risk management.

Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements including forecasts
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure cash flow is appropriate for organization’s operations
Manage vendor relationships
Engage in and oversee the company’s finance IT system
Review expenditure processes
Supervise finance personnel
Additional controller duties as necessary

Requirements and skills:

Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or equivalent ERP
Experience with importing distribution or wholesale operation
Bachelor of Arts in accounting
CPA or CMA preferred
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US (green card holder)

Compensation

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, with potential for performance-based bonus.
