Full Time Medical Receptionist/Patient Liaison

New, upscale cosmetic and medical dermatology center is looking for a well-spoken, stylish, customer service experienced and customer oriented Medical Receptionist/Patient Liaison. Applicants must be a college graduate who is a team player, self-motivator and experienced in reception for medical office or spa with customer service training or have a background in medical studies.

JOB SUMMARY: Full Time Position. Responsible for answering phone lines, greeting patients upon arrival, ensuring their comfort and coordinating their visit with providers in an efficient, pleasant manner; process intake documents, provide clear and effective communication with patients by phone and in person; schedule and confirm appointments, quote prices and review procedures, inventory, update digital documents, maintain appearance of the front office and waiting area, process payments, verify patient insurance information, administration duties. Must be able to understand medical terms and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. College graduate preferably with medical concentration.

2. Reception experience required involving direct communication with the public in a customer service, medical or spa setting.

3. Experience with EMR software.

4. Billing experience helpful.

5. Prior formal customer service training

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Superior customer service and communications skills.

2. Outstanding listening skills and ability to empathize with others.

3. Appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations.

4. Ability to convey a positive attitude in all dealings with others, whether patients or staff members.

8. Upscale appearance and demeanor

9. Team player attitude

10. Multi-tasker

Salary range: mid teens. Training to begin immediately upon hiring.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 37 per week
