Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of Locker 42's retail operations. This role oversees daily store activities, staff management, customer service, inventory, merchandising, online sales, and game day operations. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys building high-performing teams, and is passionate about driving sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Create employee schedules and manage staffing to support business needs.
- Provide daily direction, feedback, and performance coaching to staff.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that promotes accountability and growth.
Customer Experience & Sales
- Deliver and model exceptional customer service standards.
- Create a welcoming, engaging shopping experience for every customer.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve store performance.
- Support promotional initiatives and drive growth in both in-store and online.
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Manage cash handling, deposits, reporting, and operational compliance.
- Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, signage, and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure store safety, organization, and adherence to company policies.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Manage inventory levels, product ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and implement inventory control procedures.
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays that align with brand standards and seasonal promotions.
E-Commerce & Event Operations
- Manage online customer orders, including order fulfillment and reporting.
- Analyze online sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Coordinate merchandise logistics and staffing for game-day stores and off-site events.
Communication & Business Performance
- Communicate regularly with ownership regarding store performance, staffing needs, inventory, and growth opportunities.
- Review sales and operational reports to identify trends and improve results.
- Develop creative solutions and new ideas to enhance the customer experience and business performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including inventory management, payroll reporting, customer support, and operational projects.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of progressive retail experience.
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry merchandise throughout the store.
- Ability to lift and stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to safely use ladders, step stools, and elevated platforms as needed.
- Ability to work in a retail environment for extended periods of time.
Compensation & Schedule
This is a full-time position averaging approximately 35 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated retail management expertise.
