Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Close Companions as an Overnight Caregiver at the vibrant senior living community of Williamsburg Retirement in Logan UT, where your compassion and expertise will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. This role offers an energizing opportunity to provide high-quality, overnight care for seniors, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. You will be a vital part of a supportive environment that values caregiving excellence, attention to detail, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities

Monitor residents’ safety and well-being during overnight hours, including checking on residents regularly and responding promptly to their needs.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, grooming, mobility assistance, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence.
Observe and record vital signs, health status changes, and behavioral patterns using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to ensure accurate documentation.
Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer’s care, employing effective behavior management techniques.
Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, sanitizing resident areas, and ensuring infection control standards are met.

Qualifications

Prior assisted living or long-term care experience is highly preferred; experience in nursing homes or retirement communities is a plus.
Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and geriatrics principles.
Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate personal care tailored to individual needs.
Valid CPR and first aid certifications; willingness to obtain or renew certifications as required.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous.
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently.
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation; driving experience may be beneficial for community outings or errands.
