Full Job Description

This position is a blended role combining administrative office responsibilities with memorial sales. Although the employee will assist families with monument selection and sales, the administrative responsibilities are a significant and essential part of the position.

Based out of the Logan, Ohio office, the Administrative Memorialist will provide integral support to the President and other members of the office. This position requires the ability to learn monument products, company procedures, and the complete order process. Responsibilities will include answering phone calls and emails, updating customers on order status, maintaining paperwork and files, mailing customer correspondence, coordinating cemetery-lettering orders and reviewing orders in detail.

This position requires exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. The employee must be able to review contracts, drawings, measurements, granite colors, finishes, and order specifications before submitting orders.

This individual will need strong communication skills, a creative mindset and self-motivation to manage their retail store and drive sales. Ability to build professional relationships with industry partners, such as cemeteries, and community members. Confident and competent to establish themselves as the expert in monument sales.

Role/Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls and emails and direct information to the appropriate person.
Update customers regarding order status and required next steps.
Prepare and mail customer letters, contracts and other correspondence.
Maintain accurate customer files, order records and supporting documentation.
Coordinate and order cemetery-lettering work.
Provide administrative support to the President and other office personnel.
Review approved contracts and drawings for complete and accurate order information.
Verify granite color, dimensions, finishes, designs and other order specifications.
Communicate with suppliers regarding acknowledgments, questions, availability and estimated delivery.
Track granite orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.
Assist with customer payments, bank deposits and other routine office transactions.
Responding to potential and established customers through various channels such as email, phone and in person appointments.
Listening to customer needs, wants, and asking questions to help determine the best products or services.
Presenting products, educating customers on products and presenting sales proposals of products that meet customer needs.
Discuss prices and terms, prepare sales contracts.
Must have excellent communication skills, be able to ask open ended questions, and be able to communicate orally and in written form. Strong grammar, spelling, and reading comprehension.
Must be a critical thinker, understand and able to explain to customers complex processes.
Strong computer skills are required. Must be proficient in Google email and docs and Microsoft programs. Proficient in overall computer use.
Building and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.
Able to work as a team and independently.
Strong math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication.
Able to handle collection of money, make bank deposits.
Must be able to measure.
Willing to learn new concepts and ideas to creatively apply them to monument sales.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
