Job Description: Scheduling Coordinator

Position: Scheduling Coordinator

Department: Front Office

Location: Inland Empire Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

Salary: Starting $23/hour + Bonus, DOE

Employment Type: Full-Time

About Us:

Are you looking to expand your skills in oral surgery, working closely with experienced oral surgeons and dental professionals? Are you ready to contribute to a dynamic team environment where your dedication to patient care and attention to detail are valued and recognized?

Our rapidly growing oral surgery practice, with 4 locations across the Inland Empire, is seeking a highly motivated Scheduling Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth front office operations while managing administrative tasks to facilitate efficient practice operations and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Reception: Greet and check-in patients while verifying their information.
Appointment Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments and manage the practice schedule.
Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and explain benefits to patients.
Payments: Process payments
Phone, Text, and Email Communication: Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and coordinate with other healthcare providers.
Administrative Support: Maintain patient records, update information in the electronic medical records (EMR) system and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with oral surgeons, fellow team members, and management team.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and appointments.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software (e.g., EMR, scheduling software).
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical/dental terminology and insurance practices is a plus.
