Estimator

Clarion Construction can accept resumes for a qualified candidates with a degree in Construction Management (or similar) to join our Account Management Team. They will participate in various stages of construction process, including estimating and project management from pre-construction and sub-contracting to accounting and customer relations.

Responsibilities

AM is a management position for the projects that are assigned. Sole responsibility for leading the assigned project to its goals rests with the AM. Collaborating with & leading other employees may be required to meet project goals. Margin & scheduling goals may change, but customer satisfaction is a goal required on every project.
AMs will be required to be accessible while work is proceeding on his/her assigned jobs. If the AM has been assigned projects that start at 6am or 6pm, the AM must be available or make arrangements for management oversight.
AM will have project management duties & will be responsible for following communication procedures with jobsite employees, foreman, superintendents, Clarion vendors, & customer consultants as required for leading the project. The COO may inform AM of trade supervision requirements on an assigned project.
AM will have estimating duties & will be responsible for developing takeoffs, soliciting subcontractor bids, creating in-house trade costs & proposal development. In addition, the AM should understand & help maintain the vendor rating contact list.
AM will have duties required of our accounting department.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel. Familiarity with Sage, Procore and/or Planswift, is a plus

Capable of writing reports and business correspondence

Ability to work individually and on self-driven projects
Demonstrate ability to solve problems, analyze systems and data and suggest appropriate solutions
Skilled in organization, prioritization and time management
Work under stress to meet project deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy in performance
Desire to learn and contribute
